Choithrams ramps up Bounz points in 50th anniversary Bring It Back recycling campaign
Choithrams goodness extends to our environment, which is why our Bring It Back campaign encourages customers to return empty plastic bottles to our stores. By participating in this recycling initiative, you’ll also earn rewards on Choithrams’ Bounz loyalty program.
Now, because it’s our 50th anniversary this year, we ramped up the rewards for International Recycling Day during March! For those who were fastest to use the recycling program, the FIRST 50 customers who brought back plastic bottles earned 50X BOUNZ loyalty points! Usually, you get 1 Bounz point for every bottle.
To participate, you need to download the Bounz app to your smartphone.
Bring It Back is part of our holistic, ongoing mission for sustainability. We know that what we do today defines the world our children will live in. So, Choithrams devised a seven-pillar plan for sustainable living, a holistic program that keeps us focused on making the right choices.
We like to believe it has been key to Choithrams’ longevity that has brought us to our 50th anniversary milestone.
Company-wide sustainability initiatives to date have included installing energy-saving lighting and water-conservation devices on taps. We capture and recycle water from air conditioning; recycle pallets and waste; and, have eliminated the use of paper cups and plastic bottles in our workplace. Programmes directed by them, include waste minimization, energy reduction, water conservation, reducing CO2 emissions, community service, employee engagement, dialogue, and public education.
We know our consumers are committed to these goals too, seeking to make better, more sustainable choices. By participating in Bring It Back, you not only benefit as a Bounz member, but also contribute to a cleaner planet.
What may be recycled in the smart bins? Any brand of clear plastic, juice, soda or milk bottles.
Once you have your bottles, locate the smart bin instore. Retrieve the barcode on your Choithrams Bounz mobile app and place it over the scanner to make sure you get your Bounz reward. Then, scan the barcode on the bottle. The recycler will open, and you can simply pop the bottle into the bin.
You may have noticed that we’ve been rolling out new “smart bins” across our stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. These are for receiving your bottles, and have been installed in an association between Choithrams, Unilever, Renie Smart Bins and DGrade plastic recycler.
