As part of our steadfast commitment to Quality, we at Choithrams have reaffirmed our intention to invest in people, processes, practices, and the planet. We are firmly committed to Occupational Health and Safety measures that adequately address our operations and the health and safety of our employees, customers, contractors and other interested parties. We seek to integrate the philosophy of Sustainability into our organisation’s core activities, establish and promote sound Environmental practices in our operations, aiming the protection of the environment, including prevention of pollution.
We believe that this commitment is recognised not only as fundamental to the success of our organisation, but also in satisfying the needs and expectations of all interested parties including our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate thereby enabling and strengthening the QHSE culture.
- Implementing and maintaining an effective framework for Quality, Health, Safety And Environmental Management which is designed to meet the requirements of the International Standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Setting measurable objectives and targets as part of the established Integrated management system [IMS] covering the chosen three ISO standards.
- Complying with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to occupational health, safety and environment and satisfying applicable requirements of products and services
- Consulting and encouraging all employees to understand that it is their responsibility to participate in reporting all hazards, risks, incidents, near misses and illnesses as soon as reasonably practical to eliminate and reduce to an acceptable level.
- Providing the relevant resources needed for establishment and implementation of IMS, allocating roles and responsibilities, providing the employees with awareness/information, instruction and training.
- Eliminating hazards, reducing occupational health and safety risks for ensuring a safe workplace through supervision that enables them to carry out tasks competently and safely.
- Ensuring continual improvement by measuring its performance in relation to quality, occupational health and safety, environmental controls by various assessments including customer feedback and data analytics.

To accelerate organisational excellence, this policy will be subjected to continuous review and revision at least on an annual basis to reflect any changes to organisation policy, strategy and objectives and particularly when changes to legislation or technical knowledge occur.
