Job Description

  • Cutting, grinding, and preparing meats for sale.
  • Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring accurate displays and signage are attractive.
  • Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
  • Keeping records, budgets, and inventory.
  • Performing quality inspections on meats and other products.
  • Negotiating and confirming orders with suppliers.
  • Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments.
  • Achievement of section sales target.
  • Preparation of standard-sized portions and cuts: trim, debone, ties, roast, mince marinate. Prepare meat products such as sausage, pies & burgers.
  • Provide direct and indirect customer service to customers.
  • Monitors stock level, ordering, receiving of stock, wastage, and shrinkage.
  • Hygiene & Sanitation, good preparation practices
  • Proper handling of tools and equipment.
  • Any other store activity as assigned by the supervisor.
